Fill-controlled fluid couplings have an external fluid circuit that is also used for cooling. Additionally, they have a very high thermal capacity, allowing longer and more frequent high load start-up procedures.
With double the power transmission capability within the same installation space, the Voith TurboBelt TPXL coupling family is specifically designed to meet the requirements of belt conveyor drives. The TurboBelt TPXL coupling provides smooth and wear-free power transmission thanks to the hydrodynamic principle. Rugged, robust and compact, the TurboBelt TPXL couplings are engineered to the highest standards for greater availability and reliable operation.
The type TPKL fill-controlled fluid coupling is especially suitable for belt conveyors in rugged and tough mining industry environments. Ideal for the respective load condition of the belt, the TPKL regulates acceleration extremely gently. Even very difficult start-up procedures are possible at short sequential intervals, thanks to the stand-still re-cooling. The type DTPKL has two axially arranged working circuits that operate in parallel, enabling twice as much power transmission at the same overall height. The variant (D)TPKL-R has a flatter, although longer, tank for lower shaft center line heights. The most compact design is the (D)TPKL-E, which has no oil tank of its own. The tank is situated externally or, e.g., integrated into the swing frame.
Designed to start your armored face conveyor in a controlled manner, even under heavily loaded conditions. The coupling provides very high thermal capacity, which allows for multiple start-ups. The CPC coupling significantly increases system availability resulting in the highest productivity of your system.
The hydrodynamic coupling circuit is specifically designed for your chain conveyor. The coupling limits the torque in the drive chain to a defined maximum value. This protects the chains and all components against damage. The availability of the armored face conveyor increases and the maintenance costs remain low.
The coupling works with water as a non-combustible and environmentally friendly operating medium. No additional and cost-intensive explosion protection measures are necessary when installing this coupling.
The fill-controlled fluid coupling, type DTPKWL2, is especially suited for heavy-duty usage in armored face conveyors. In underground coal mines, this coupling provides an optimal start-up as well as operational control of the armored face conveyor
The coupling’s hydrodynamic circuit is specially designed for chain conveyors, as it limits the torque in the drivetrain to a fixed value. This protects the chain and all the drive components from damage, thereby increasing the availability and productivity of the armored face conveyor while keeping maintenance costs low.
The coupling operates with water. As a non-combustible and environmentally-friendly operating medium, the coupling requires no additional costly explosion protection measures.
The type TP fill-controlled fluid coupling is predominantly used in shredding machine drives. Additionally, this fluid coupling is available with two axially arranged working circuits (type DTP); these parallel acting circuits double the power transmission. For type TPW, the operating medium is water, which makes this coupling especially suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
